Description
TECHO Peru has diversified its projects according to the needs of the communities, initiating food donation campaigns to combat food insecurity, the implementation of vaccines and health centres to improve infrastructure and expand service capacity. Since 2001, TECHO Peru has worked in more than 650 popular settlements and to date they are present in 34 popular settlements in Lima. The volunteer would be responsible for providing support in the management of alliances with companies for TECHO Peru's Corporate Volunteering programme with the aim of achieving the financial sustainability of the organisation.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will have established work spaces, so that s/he can develop the tasks assigned to her/him and will be provided with the necessary inputs for the provision of assistance; Accompaniment by TECHO Peru's board of directors and by the assigned mentor. Participation in training spaces organized by TECHO Peru for the permanent team. The volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 650EUR and accommodation, as well as a return flight ticket to and from the country of origin. A health insurance scheme will be provided and all costs related to the briefing covered.
Training during the activity
● Be part of a multidisciplinary team where you will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context. Learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective. ● Manage and evaluate projects with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. ● Foster your leadership and teamwork. ● Strengthen your network of contacts.
Participant profile
Education: Graduates or students in the final stages of their studies in Administration, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related fields. Languages: very good level of Spanish. Software (desirable): Handling of Microsoft Office tools, for data processing and information analysis, Design tools such as Canva, Knowledge in Salesforce. Competencies: Knowledge on Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals, Experience in analysing and synthesising information, writing skills in drafting and presenting documents. Soft skills: Commitment., Empathy, Proactivity, Conflict Management, Inclusiveness, Collaboration, Teamwork, Learning skills. Knowledge of the Peruvian/Latin American context would be an asset. Previous experience in developing countries and/or in volunteer activities. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
