Description
Refugees Welcome Portugal is looking for 2 #volunteers to participate in a national project of the European Solidarity Corps. Who we are? Refugees Welcome Portugal is part of an international movement that was born with the aim of contributing to the creation of a culture of welcome, through greater proximity between the host communities and the migrant and refugee population. In Portugal, the organization was created in 2016 and since then our focus has been to support migrants and refugees in their integration, seeking to mitigate, as far as possible, the difficulties and challenges of adaptation.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteers will receive monthly financial support to cover all their expenses.

RWP team provides On Arrival Training and many training opportunities during the volunteering period.
Profil du participant
1 Awareness GUIDE (paid volunteering position) Tasks Write copy for social media posts or other relevant communication materials; Prepare investigations for social networks and blogs (namely on topics related to human rights and relevant news); Reactivation and implementation of the newsletter; Implement social network analysis strategies; Planning and scheduling publications for social networks; Support in the organization and image capture of external events and promotional materials. 1 Integration GUIDE (paid volunteering position) Tasks Participation in the RWP project in schools (promotion of activities through non-formal education) Establish contacts and possible partnerships with external entities, whether within the scope of the associated person card, companies or other similar cases Support for beneficiaries (job search, mediation, Portuguese mentoring platform or other need that may arise). Promote advocacy and awareness campaigns Organizing external events and representing the entity Requirements Be between 18-30; Medium-term volunteering (6 months) of 30 hours per week, under the European Solidarity Corps from September 2024 to March 2025; Good knowledge of IT tools and digital platforms; Creativity, proactivity and communication skills; Availability of travel to Porto (Matosinhos).
