Description
The National Youth Card Association(NYCA) in Bulgaria is a member organisation of the European Youth Card Association(EYCA). The organisation's activities follow EYCA’s structure which covers 2 pillars-youth discounts and opportunities. Through the first pillar, NYCA offers young people different discounts for travel, accommodation, culture, sports, education and services in 36 countries. It is a great tool to support youth journey and broaden horizons, access to culture and entertainment, further education and leadership enriching life. Through the second pillar, our work covers a wide range of youth activities and projects that stem from our desire to secure access to quality youth information, meaningful youth participation and empowerment based on competencies development. Essentially NYCA creates a space for young people to develop all necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to be civically engaged and to play a significant role in positively shaping their community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation is provided with overhead costs included. Accommodation details will be provided to shortlisted candidates. Travel expenses are covered with a certain limit. The volunteer's monthly allowance includes food, pocket money and local transport.
Training during the activity
All selected volunteers will be included in a training cycle organised by the host organisation and the National Agency.
Participant profile
We are looking for 4 motivated young people who want to develop their skills in youth volunteering, youth participation and civic engagement. Also, they are ready to be part of the current activities of NYCA: ● ESC volunteers ● Youth information - youth-related articles, and news columns dedicated to Youth activism, Volunteering, and sustainable and green life. ● Youth projects and campaigns - Access to culture through volunteering campaign, We need YOUth campaign ● Youth exchanges ● EU Youth Dialog campaign and ect, The project gives the opportunity for long term volunteering of 6 to 12 monts or short term volunteering to 2 monts.
