Description
Our English-speaking daycare is located in Sopron, Hungary, close to the Austrian border and is run by three enthusiastic workmates offering their laps, time, devotion to a handful of children aged between 1,5-4. We are looking for volunteers with their hearts set to help children grow and bloom in an open learning environment by sharing their cultural traditions, talence and language. If you are ready to support children's social development, understand their urge to explore the world around them and have ideas on how to bring it closer to them, please contact us! Our organization also provides after-school programs for kids interested in embracing a multicultural experience, mastering English as a foreign language.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
A 60m2 two-roomed well-furnished flat is rented for our two volunteers with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and bathroom. The flat is situated close to the town center, on the fourth floor of a block of flats; in two minutes the volunteer can enjoy the peacefulness of a forest. Volunteers are welcomed to have meals within the walls of our daycare, however they can also opt for preparing their own menus (lunch allowance). Volunteers receive a "household allowance" in order to cover the costs of their breakfasts and dinners, detergent etc. Bikes, SIM cards, pocket money are also provided
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers participate in an on-arrival and a mid-term training organized by the Hungarian National Agency. Work related, cultural workshops arranged by the daycare are also offered. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn either English or some Hungarian by using an online platform.
Profil du participant
We welcome motivated, committed, active volunteers from any nationalities, who are willing to learn, share their knowledge and understand, respect the needs of young children. Once the volunteer’s heart is set on working with children there are only five skills, qualities needed: patience, the ability to hide frustration, keeping calm in emergency, effective communication and enthusiasm. Some relevant work experience or education related to early childhood experience and solid English language knowledge is an advantage, however we are opened to host any volunteers.
