Acarbio association Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella are two organizations working for the preservation of the local environment and cultural heritage. We're looking for 10 participants between the ages of 18 and 30 to join us in a project focused on environmental protection and monitoring of the protected areas of AMP Punta Campanella, Baia di Ieranto and Monte Faito, Monti Lattari Regional Park. Volunteers will take part in various maintenance tasks for the trails and historic structures, helping to preserve these ancient landmarks, which attract tens of thousands of tourists each year and provide a green and blue oasis for the local community. In addition to maintaining the Oasis, volunteers will engage in environmental protection activities such as cleaning trails and planting trees. Please mind that arrival and departure days will be 05/11 and 01/12.
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
Participants will be hosted in two apartments in Nerano, Massa Lubrense (NA). They are equipped with kitchen, toilets and shower. Volunteers will sleep in rooms divided by gender. A set of rules are established for the accommodation and we expect volunteers to respect them, such as regular cleaning shifts, community cooking and respectful behaviors. Food supply will be provided. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the ESC guidelines. Volunteers will also receive 5€ per day of pocket money.
Formación durante la actividad
During the project participants will learn how to live together as a community. In fact we expect volunteers to share daily duties and live like a family in a sustainable way. Also they will learn how to maintain and preserve local protected areas.
Perfil del participante
For this project we are searching for motivated young people between 18-30yo, who have an interest to help local communities through volunteering, interested in conservation and environmental management and social work. We are looking for participants that are ready to embrace community living, not intimidated by living away from urban areas and to get their hands dirty while working in nature. Participants will need to be available for the exact activity period.
