Description

- Participate in the identification and formulation of projects/programmes. - Participate in the establishment of project/programme baselines. - Contribute to the elaboration, improvement, planning and implementation of activities, including cross-cutting approaches. - Monitor and evaluate the progress of projects by regularly visiting and participating in field activities and establishing strategies for reorientation or improvement if necessary. - Support in reporting to funders and HQ. - Support in the planning of human and material resource requirements for the proper implementation of activities. - Participate in the internal monitoring reports to be sent to the relevant persons, in addition to the justification reports (monitoring and final) for the funding bodies. - Assist in audits and/or evaluations of projects together with the administrator/logistician. - Support to country coordination on project/programme related aspects, monitoring, evaluation and administration.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

The volunteer will reside in the city of La Paz, where Médicos del Mundo's main office is located, from where, according to the established schedule, he or she will travel to the intervention areas of the projects being carried out (department of Pando and Santa Cruz). Accommodation, return flights, visa and vaccination costs, health insurance and basic equipment (laptops and mobile phone) will be provided during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will be provided for all work-related travel. The volunteer will also receive a monthly allowance of 600 € for their personal expenses.

Formation pendant l’activité

Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support, etc. and will be provided with online training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings and training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as a specific online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and the host organisation.

Profil du participant

- Bachelor's degree, training in the field or related to Health would be an asset. - Knowledge of funding instruments and donor guidelines and project cycle management. - Experience or additional training in strategy definition, project/programme identification and formulation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and capitalisation of projects/programmes. - Knowledge of gender, human rights, environment. A background in Public Health is highly valued. - Experience in the field of international cooperation is an asset. - Contextual knowledge (Bolivia) will be an asset. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
