Description
The volunteer will carry out his/her mission in the Cher department, in particular: Bourges, Levet, Saitn Amand Montrond, Charost et Vallenay. Then concretly, the volunteer will support the digital facilitators with : LAB(O)Game, project development and digital inclusion workshops for groups of young people on integration schemes LAB(O)Party, organisation of digital mediation events for children and parents LAB(O)ruraux, workshops for senior citizens in rural areas. Livres numériques dont vous êtes le héros: support for creative interactive digital book projects. Helping to organise and run digital courses for young people and children as part of our social space. Creation of resources, games and exhibitions to raise awareness of the environmental and social impact of digital uses.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The European volunteer will be accommodated in a large shared apartment for 4 people at the Val d'Auron lake in Bourges (18 - Cher). The volunteer will have his/her own room with sheets and ears provided. Shared areas: kitchen, living room, WiFi, free on-site parking, washing machine. - Possibility of getting to the city center by bus, bike or car. The organisation will also takes in charge of arrival and comme back home, online language courses, obligatory training and health insurance. The young person will receive a monthly allowance 440€ (pocket money + food money) for their personal use.
Training during the activity
The young person will receive two training sessions (induction and mid-term) as part of his or her ESC mission. He/she will be invited to meet young people who are on a voluntary mission in France. The material (stationery, animation material...) will be provided by the Ligue de l'Enseignement. He will be trained in first aid by following the PSC1 training and he will participate in some training on the values carried by the Ligue de l'Enseignement du Cher (Values of the Republic and Secularism, ECSI, interculturality, fight against discrimination...)
Participant profile
This mobility programme is open to all types of young people aged between 18 and 30 with an interest in working with young people in rural areas and adolescents (12 - 25 years old). In addition, it will be taken into account that the volunteer has a good knowledge of French, has a driving licence, lives in Europe and has already had experience of life in a community (student life, hostel/hotel, other, etc.).
