As part of the Calvados Council’s department 'Actions éducatives, Citoyenneté, Europe' (France) which promotes citizenship, openness to the world & civic commitment for young people (11-15 yo) during in-school and out-of-school times, your tasks will be: - To participate in the organisation of events to raise awareness of young people towards other cultures & citizenship (Inter’Act Tour, Schools Europe Day, School Cross-country running, European cultural activities, hosting foreign delegations…) o Help with the registration process o Help with the logistical preparation & sharing of the documents o Participate in partner meetings o Participate in the event & host workshops o Participate in the event evaluation - To promote these actions in various ways - To participate in coordinating and promoting the ESC network: publication of a collection of best practices & tips for ESC hosting - To participate in a common project with the others ESC volunteers hosted by the Calvados
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
You will share a flat with 2 volunteers in the dynamic and well served city of Hérouville-saint-Clair (less than 20 mins from Caen city centre - 45 minutes from the seaside). You are autonomous regarding meals, but costs are covered by the volunteering financial support. You will find kitchen areas to heat up your lunch and eat with colleagues in the office. A bicycle is available. Possible subscription to the local bus and tramway networks or to the regional train network. The Region Council offers a card to young people to benefit from reduced rates for cultural and sport activities.
Formación durante la actividad
You will have the opportunity to benefit from project management experimentation and event organisation. You will expand your knowledge on the functioning and actions of the European Union and local authorities. You will follow several training sessions with our partner to develop your skills and knowledge about the European Union, mobility opportunities as well as methods and games to know how to lead a group activity. Perfil del participante
We are a looking for a responsible, organised and outgoing participant between 18 and 25 years old. You are interested in raising the awareness of young French people towards the topics of the mission. You are curious to discover France, its customs, its people, its landscapes as well as its professional worlds. You have your driving licence. To be comfortable with the mission, it is better to have a rather good knowledge of French (written and spoken).
