Description
AVEC is an association focused on children, adolescents and young adults. Their office and youth center is based in Maamoura, a small beach town close to the city of Nabeul. They organise workshops for children in different domains. They’re also very active in international exchanges and capacity building projects, training local volunteers to become powerful international changemakers. As a volunteer with AVEC you have different possibilities, such as content creation for the social media, teaching (assistant) English language classes, assisting one of the ongoing workshops (such as robotics, athletics, painting, karate). You can also assist the local scouts. If you like organisation you can propose your own workshops in your own domain, or assist in administrative tasks surrounding the recruitment and preparation of Tunisian volunteers who want to participate in international projects. . Start and end dates are flexible, you can also apply as a duo.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will share an appartment with 1-3 other volunteers. You’ll get a food allowance to do your own shopping and cook or eat outside. Fruit lovers will be spoiled by the fresh and cheap markets! In Maamoura the options to eat outside are limited (mostly snack such as sandwiches, pizza) but within less than 30 minutes you can be in the city of Nabeul where options are more varied and you can try local traditional food. Try to get yourself invited to a wedding reception to eat the local wedding couscous!
Training during the activity
Besides the regular ESC training language support will be arranged according to your interest (classic Arabic or local dialect, intensity and level can be adapted)

Good at filming, editing and graphic design OR willing to learn Likes to work with children and/or young adults Proactive Speaking French is not a must, but will be helpful
