Educazione non formale per giovani a Tallinn

Associazione Antigóna

Shokkin Group International

TALLINN, Estonia

Description

You will have the opportunity to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds, providing them with a space for personal, social, and professional growth. The center where you will collaborate is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where youth can develop their skills and interests. Your role will involve designing and facilitating educational games (edugames) that encourage learning through interactive play. You will lead edugame sessions that help young people build critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. This experience will allow you to work in an innovative, non-formal educational setting, contributing to the development of young people’s personal and professional growth while also promoting social inclusion and diversity. Throughout your experience, you will not only gain valuable experience in youth work and education but also have the chance to inspire young people to reach their full potential.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

During your volunteering experience, accommodation will be provided, ensuring a comfortable living space for you. You will receive a daily food allowance of 6€ and pocket money of 5€ per day to cover your daily expenses. Your travel from Italy to Estonia costs will be fully reimbursed and you will be provided with a health insurance that will protect you from any risk. Finally, any work-related transportation will be covered, if necessary.

Training during the activity

As a volunteer, you will benefit from on-arrival and mid-term training sessions organized by the Estonian National Agency, where you will receive valuable information and guidance to help you succeed in your role. You will also participate in work-related training, preparing you for the specific tasks and activities you will be involved in. Additionally, you will have access to the OLS Estonian language course, which will help you improve your communication skills and deepen your connection with the local community.

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers aged 18 to 30 who are passionate about youth work and eager to contribute to the personal, social, and professional growth of young people. You should be open-minded, proactive, and willing to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience in designing or facilitating educational games, or in working with young people, is a plus, but a strong motivation to learn and contribute is essential. You should be creative, communicative, and able to adapt to different situations. You are the ideal candidate if you are enthusiastic about non-formal education and willing to take initiative in creating a fun and engaging learning environment. A willingness to learn Estonian and experience the local culture is also important to fully integrate into the community and enhance your volunteering experience.
