Description
The Urban Kids Academy (UKA) is a private, bilingual nursery/daycare with 3 locations in Stuttgart. One for kids aged 8 weeks to 3 years near the Kriegsbergturm and one for kids aged 8 weeks to 6 years. Their intercultural team of professionals and students look after children in pedagogically appealing group rooms as well as big indoor play spaces and large garden areas. The gardens offers a protected space for year-round outdoor activities. With lovingly furnished indoor areas, they create an ideal environment for the children's development and a place that feels like a second home. Your tasks will include: - support the care of bilingual children (German/English) and work closely with professionals - playing and learning with the children, creative activities - support the team with housekeeping tasks (e.g. preparing breakfast, putting away the dishwasher) - participate in training and team events
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Female volunteers will be provided with a dorm room in a women's dorm or a shared flat. Male volunteers will be sharing a flat with other young people. You will receive a contribution to a year pass for local transportation in Germany. Furthermore, you will be given an allowance as well as additional money for food in accordance with the program guidelines.
Formation pendant l’activité
In addition to two seminars by the national agency, we will provide a support meetings with your mentor and tutor throughout the service. Additionally, your hosting organisation will provide you with any training needed for your daily tasks during the service.
Profil du participant
If you are excited to work with and support children in their development and can contribute either a B2 level of English or German, this opportunity is for you! This project will start around October/ November 2025 and end July 31st 2026. IMPORTANT: Please apply through our website.
