Description
Your tasks will primarily include supporting the implementation of the LGBTIQ+ volunteering program activities. You will be supporting the day-to-day office work, which entails the promotion of volunteering opportunities, correspondence, organisation of events, as well as logistical and administrative support. The work will be carried out mainly in the office or in the field. You will be working on an everyday basis with a LGBTIQ+ coordinator and support them in the organisation of work of volunteers (preparing schedules and tasks for volunteers, ensuring hands-on support during the volunteering tasks, supporting creation of good group dynamics, planning mentoring process, organising logistics...) and with volunteers. This includes a group of ESC volunteers joining for a month to support the festival and all other Pride Festival volunteers who participate in diverse tasks and few volunteering groups. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The project includes: Fully funded travel and accommodation; Covered food expenses and pocket money; Mentoring and Youthpass certificate; Health insurance; Language support.
Training during the activity
You will be included in the daily work and activities of the association. You will be supported by a working coordinator, with whom you’ll be working together on a daily level. During your activity, you will participate in an onboarding process to get to know the organisation, people, internal communication channels etc. You will also be working closely with the ESC group who will be here for 1 month, and with that you’ll get to know in-depth information on the ESC programme and different possibilities within it.
Participant profile
About you: An LGBTIQ+ person aged 18-30 and living in the EU; Passionate about volunteering and activism, An individual with previous volunteering experience; A person who enjoys working directly with people; Comfortable in creative, chaotic environments, as well as with office routines (which include a lot of planning and structure) You’re curious and resourceful when tackling challenges and able to adapt to changes and re-plan on the spot; Interested in working with volunteers and looking to further develop knowledge and skills in the area; A fluent English communicator with a love for teamwork and social change.
