Description

Responsible for leading and executing the youth volunteer management process in Techo Peru, ensuring the development, training and active participation of volunteers in the activities of the organisation, promoting social activities of the organisation, promoting social commitment, community leadership and the transformation of realities in popular settlements. The volunteer will provide support in the design and implementation of strategies for recruitment, training, motivation and retention of young volunteers. S/he will participate in the planning of team days and recreational-training activities to strengthen the sense of teamwork. S/he will monitor volunteer participation in community projects and institutional events. S7he will provide support in the preparation of institutional reports and volunteer training plans.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will have established work spaces, so that s/he can develop the tasks assigned to her/him and will be provided with the necessary inputs for the provision of assistance; Accompaniment by TECHO Peru's board of directors and by the assigned mentor; Participation in training spaces organized by TECHO Peru for the permanent team. The volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 650EUR and accommodation, as well as a return flight ticket to and from the country of origin. A health insurance scheme will be provided and all costs related to the briefing/debriefing covered.

Training during the activity

● Be part of a multidisciplinary team where you will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context. Learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective. ● Manage and evaluate projects with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. ● Foster your leadership and teamwork. ● Strengthen your network of contacts.

Participant profile

● Qualifications: Graduates or final year students of Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Administration or related fields. ● Languages: good knowledge of Spanish. ● Programmes (desirable): ○ Handling of programs such as Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Forms, Calendar). ○ Familiarity with design and communication tools such as Canva or Trello. ○ Experience in the use of volunteer management platforms or databases (desirable). ● Competencies: ○ Knowledge on Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals. ○ Experience in volunteer, youth or community project management, planning and implementation of training and recreational activities. Soft skills: ○ Commitment. ○ Empathy. ○ Proactivity. ○ Conflict Management. ○ Leadership ○ Ability to manage teams ○ Effective communication ○ Ability to work in a team Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
