APY is a non-profit, non-political organization aiming to support, inspire and engage young people from Armenia and all over the world to develop their social leadership skills, to take their civic responsibility and to act as change-makers. Through our projects, initiatives and non-formal education tools we help young people to succeed, ensuring that they develop their knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences to fit to the modern world. Our organization believes that progressive, educated, skillful, open-minded and engaged young people possess all the power to become actors of change in Armenia and beyond. Because youth is not only the future, but the present!
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers will be hosted for two months, with one month in Yerevan and one month in Kotayk region. • In Kotayk Region: Volunteers will stay in the new youth center. Two floors are fully renovated, featuring a shared kitchen, toilets, bathrooms, and bedrooms (two persons in each room). • In Yerevan: Volunteers will stay at the University dormitory. The kitchen, bathrooms, and toilets are shared per floor. Rooms accommodate two people. Travel costs will be covered according to the distance calculation of the EU. Volunteers will get pocket and food money. Insurance is covered by the ESC.
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will be engaged in two key directions. 1st month - establishing a New Youth Center in Kotayk Region, where there is significant work to be done. The first steps involve renovating the building and cultivating the surrounding yard. Role of Volunteers wil be to clean the yard of the center from weeds and stones, cultivate the land, plant crops, help contractors in their work. In the 2nd month volunteers will focus on assisting the APY team in organizing and implementing youth-led initiatives at the Alternative Youth Center in Yerevan, engaging with local youth to facilitate workshops.
Profil du participant
We are seeking for young people aged 18-30 years old, motivated and enthusiastic, passionate about youth work and eager to contribute to community development. Volunteers should be open-minded, cooperative, and ready to share household responsibilities with fellow participants in a dynamic and multicultural environment. At least intermediate English.
