ESC voluntary Service in forest kindergarten in Wertheim
Waldkindergarten Wertheim e.V.
Wertheim, Allemagne
Description
Our forest kindergarten offers a unique combination for the ten kids attending, whose ages range from 3-6, and the two teachers. While regular days are spent in the forest in the small town of Wertheim, activities such as swimming, horse-back riding, math, english and early musical education are playfully integrated into the daily routine. Excursions with our kindergarten bus are a regular part of the program, providing a rich variety of situations for playful learning. On our forest plot the kids are allowed to run and play. Due to the small number of kids, the social cohesion in the group is particularly noticeable. The older kids help and look out for the littler ones. In the forest, we experience nature up close every day, no matter the weather conditions, enabling everyone to understand, appreciate, and respect nature. We also have a small heatable trailer, where the kids love to do arts and crafts, especially in the winter when it's cold outside www.waldkindergarten-wertheim.de

Volunteers will receive the standard allowances for food and pocket money and a regional public transport ticket.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will take part in European Solidarity Corps seminars ( On Arrival Training and Midterm Meeting).
Profil du participant
The most important attribute is that you should enjoy working with kids and being outside in nature (by almost every weather). Basic proficiency in German or English would be an advantage. You are reliable, responsible and committed. You prefer living in the country to the hustle and bustle of city-life. Your work will be to support the kindergarten teachers and take part in projects, you can even contribute your own ideas. The kids enjoy learning and benefit from being exposed to diversity. Just as you can learn from them, they can learn about a different culture and language from you. We want you to have a good time
