Summer camp at Hajnalcsillag

Egyesek Ifjúsági Egyesület

Kecskemét, Hongrie

Description

The Hajnalcsillag Tanoda (Morning Star After-school) was established by the Kecskemét Reformed Congregation to support disadvantaged (primarily Roma) children in a safe and nurturing environment. The congregation actively participates in the life of the Tanoda, providing both financial and spiritual support. Beyond assisting children's academic progress, the Tanoda also contributes to strengthening the community. Help make the Hajnalcsillag Tanoda summer camp in Kecskemét a reality and become part of an international volunteer team that brings real change to the lives of children aged 6 to 18! The Tanoda has two main goals: strengthening Roma culture and identity and fostering Christian faith. As a volunteer, you can teach English, lead games and sports activities, and also share deeper values. You will play a key role in boosting the children’s self-confidence, building trust, and bringing joy into their lives. Learn more: https://egyesek.hu/en/volunteering/hajnalcsillag-en

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

All volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms in Kecskemét in a dormitory. We provide three meals a day (hot meals for lunch and dinner), with a vegetarian option available. Each volunteer will also receive €7 per day as pocket money. Travel costs to the project location will be reimbursed based on the distance after participation. All necessary equipment for the tasks will be provided.
