Description
ENGIM operates in Ecuador with the aim of supporting environmental protection and local development through international cooperation initiatives, focused on training and WASH activities. The volunteer will contribute actively to the implementation of initiatives by supporting communication and fundraising activities. Key tasks: - Producing videos that highlight ongoing projects. - Designing visual content to raise awareness of the issues and activities of the organization. - Organizing interviews with project beneficiaries, team members, and stakeholders. - Collaborating with the local team to produce communication materials (brochures, reports, slides, infographics) that clearly and effectively describe the projects, results, and impacts. - Contributing to drafting funding proposals. - Keeping the organization's website updated. - Creating content for social media channels, ensuring regular updates and monitoring engagement.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
- Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared apartment or guesthouse in a community near the project area. Basic utilities such as electricity, water, and internet access will be available, though service may be intermittent due to contingencies. - A monthly allowance of €800 will be provided, covering daily expenses, food and local transport. - A laptop will be provided, and reimbursement for mobile phone expenses is included. - Flexible working hours and a combination of on-site and remote work may be available, depending on the autonomy of the volunteer and the schedule of activities.
Formation pendant l’activité
- Pre-departure training on local context, ongoing programs, humanitarian principles and security. - On-site and pre-departure training on community engagement, intercultural approach, communication in the non-profit sector. - Learning in the workplace in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team. - The volunteer will receive briefings/training with different departments related to the mission and the position.
Profil du participant
Education & Training: - Degree in Communication Sciences, Marketing, Social Media Management, or similar fields. - Experience in using social media management tools and/or website management. - Experience in audiovisual production (filming, editing). Skills & Competencies: - Excellent writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. - Teamwork skills and ability to work in multicultural environments. - Organizational and problem-solving skills. - Autonomy and ability to manage priorities. Desirable Skills - Graphic design skills. - Interest in international cooperation and solidarity. Language & Technical Skills:: - Proficiency in Spanish (preferably B2 level or higher) - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suite, Wordpress Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
