Summer camps are a long tradition in our organisation. Projects objectives are teach volunteers certain leadership skills, teamwork, adaptation to challenging enviroment, non formal education and learning about people with disability. This summer camps is an opportunity for children with autism to experience a summer camp just as "normal" children do. They want to meet young people, socialise through new relationships they develop here.
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
The summer camp takes place in Terchová village (part Šipkova) in Slovakia. Accomodation of volunteers will be in cottages and families in a holiday center. The center provides food for everybody in the second week, but during the first week volumteers will cook for themselves. There will be a car and person responsible for buying groceries durring the first week. Volunteers from abroad will be picked up directly from the airport or the train. From Bratislava to Terchová, they will be traveling by bus or train. Slovak volunteers will come to Terchová by themselves.
Formación durante la actividad
Volumteers will get training about autism and specific characteristics of all autistic participants. Organisation will provide a chance to try Autism simaluator, to better understand participants of camp.

We seek volunteers who are: Open-minded and able to adjust to new situations. Creative and willing to contribute fresh ideas. Sociable and eager to connect with others. Patient and understanding in their interactions. Passionate about working with individuals with special needs.
