Description
We need your help to maintain the walking paths, forest and support the forest organization in maintaining their area and house. You will help out with collecting leafs, collect branches or break them into smaller pieces, dig out wild grown plants and trees, and cleaning up the area around the building of the forest organization in Jena e.g. maintaining footpaths, lookout points and shelters.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers will be accommodated in an isolated hostel on a hill in the Western part of Jena. Each room has 4-6 beds, and your only neighbours will be the woodland animals. All bed linen will be provided. We have the chance to have campfires, play ping-pong and volleyball, to go swimming and so on. A washing machine is available. There will be no internet access in the accommodation. Please be prepared for typical German food, which includes a lot of bread. You will have cold breakfast and supper (bread!) and a warm meal for dinner.
Formation pendant l’activité
We want to get to know you and your country better and have discussion round about the different cultures. Please prepare at home information about your home country to inform evening-events. Your presentation: 1-2 hours. Besides your presentation you could bring things for visualization or small souvenirs for every participant. Also the participant will learn pracitical and physical skills.
Profil du participant
You have to be motivated to help with different tasts around the forest and the house of the association, different nature protective and location improving projects. It is very important to us that you have an open mind and enjoy cultural exchange with the the other volunteers.
