Description
Anffas Sibillini Aps is a social promotion association founded in 2013, located in a mountain municipality near the Sibillini Mountains. The association is dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing relational challenges. Volunteer involvement is highly valued, as those supported by the association benefit greatly from direct interaction. Volunteers play a key role in the activities offered, enriching the quality and impact of these experiences. The main activities include: recreational, sports, and training activities; preparatory programs for supported employment; the creation of an educational garden; hosting school groups and elderly individuals; managing a space called WOW; participating in markets, events, and fundraising initiatives; and welcoming volunteers. Volunteers find in the association an opportunity to engage with disability, explore new activities, learn new skills, and feel welcomed.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Your accommodation will be one of the wooden houses located next to the main building. It consists of: an entrance hall/kitchen/living room with a sofa, a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, and a utility room with a washing machine and space for electrical appliances.The house is directly across from the "Casa nel cuore," the facility where activities take place and where you'll find people who can offer guidance and welcome you. We will also provide an allowance for shopping and food and pocket money for personal expenses. The travel expenses will be refunded.
Formation pendant l’activité
Pre-departure training for cross-border activities, guaranteed by participating organizations; - Training on arrival, guaranteed by national agency; - Intermediate evaluation guaranteed by national agency; Furthermore, the association provides all the learning support for the everyday activities, and also Italian classes, besides OLS (online language support) given by the European Commission
Profil du participant
We are looking for 2 volunteers. The ideal volunteer should be a person that feels like to work with disabled people, youngsters, and elderly, every day. We search for a person that fits in the values of the Cana nel Cuore like tolerance, interculturality, participation, democracy, and teamwork. The typical profile of the volunteer: - be open-minded with a positive attitude; - flexibility to adapt to possible changes - initiative, creativity, and respect to others and to different ideas; - motivated to work with people; - determined to learn more - communicative
