SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES MCP

ASSOCIATION DU CENTRE DE BEAUMOTTE

BEAUMOTTE AUBERTANS , France

Description

About Solidarités Jeunesses (SJ): Solidarités Jeunesses is a national movement dedicated to non-formal education, solidarity, and intercultural exchange. It consists of a National Secretariat in Paris and eight regional delegations across France. Throughout the year, these delegations host international volunteers to engage in meaningful social, ecological, and cultural projects. While each delegation is unique, all share common goals: Bringing together people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds to foster community development. Supporting the integration of individuals with fewer opportunities. Each project is rooted in collective living and solidarity. We believe that cultural exchange is a powerful tool for personal growth, allowing volunteers to learn, experiment, and develop new perspectives. 🔗 For more information and the application process: www.solidaritesjeunesses.org/volunteeringinfrance

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project takes place in Beaumotte, a small countryside village in the Franche-Comté region of eastern France. The site consists of a large communal house, additional buildings, and a vegetable garden. As a volunteer, you will live in a shared house with other volunteers, contributing to daily life like in a big co-living space. The centre also permanently hosts four teenagers and works closely with adults in social reintegration programs from Tuesday to Friday. Your commitment to the community and shared responsibilities will help create a warm and welcoming home during your stay.

Training during the activity

Volunteers work approximately 35 hours/week on various tasks, with staff support. Your activities may include: - Renovation and maintenance of buildings. - Gardening and environmental projects - Organizing and participating in cultural events (local and at the center) - Hosting and working with groups, especially in summer - Leading and participating in workshops - Supporting collective life (cooking, cleaning, organizing) - Leading workcamps in summer (training provided) You'll attend: - Two training seminars by the French agency - A volunteer gathering with all SJ volunteers.

Open to young people aged 18-30 from the European Union or partner countries. A driving license is highly recommended due to the rural location. If you enjoy manual work, nature, and collective living, or if you’re curious to discover a new way of life, this is the opportunity for you!
