Why HUMUS? HUMUS is a 3-year Volunteering Teams project aimed at creating more resilient communities fostering a healthy lifestyle and collective action on climate change as well as nurturing a sense of community to foster social inclusion, mobilising young volunteers and enhancing civic and community engagement in local contexts. What is HUMUS? HUMUS is about Teaching Communities: We aim to promote a strong sense of community to address the social issues that contribute to unhealthy and divided societies. Through HUMUS, we support youth volunteers and engage local communities—including urban neighborhoods, rural areas. Together, we work to restore community spirit, raise awareness of collective wellbeing, and foster healthier, more inclusive relationships.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Harja, Romania The accommodation is going to be in village houses and fully equipped yurts with beds and electricity. Access to kitchen, bathroom, water hot/cold, 3-5 people/room. Plane to Bucharest or Bacau airports, and a shuttle bus that takes you to Onesti- Harja. We will support you in getting the right transport when we know your flights/itinerary. As from 2020, the EC is encouraging all of us, participating in European mobilities, to use land transportation where is possible to avoid a higher degree of pollution by flying…so, how could you get here by land?
Formation pendant l’activité
Activities we will offer you: - Training for volunteers, offered by trainers (experts) for the implementation of activities - Non Formal Education tools/ methods trainings - Planning, strategizing and testing to carry out educational activities using NFE - Using creativity through art in order to convey messages of solidarity - Discovering and mapping a set of personal talents, strengths and personal purpose - Experience life in the countryside and understanding how to become supporters of a sustainable lifestyle and zero waste

Are you willing to spend several weeks in the rural area and travelling around? Are you willing to get involved in communities, talk to new people, make new friends? Are you motivated to put your talents in service of the community? Are you willing to gain new skills and work in an international team? Are you speaking English? ARE you Residing in an European Union Country or European Country? Are your aged between 18-30 years old?
