St. Patrick’s Festival - a creative and educational cultural experience

Join us and become a co-creator of a St. Patrick’s Festival inspired by Irish culture! Take part in organizing the event at a primary school, explore Irish traditions, and share them with children aged 9-14. What you will do: - Comic - create a comic about St. Patrick - City Game - design and lead an interactive city game, exploring the city and discovering Irish symbols. - Irish Dance and Karaoke Evening - run Irish dance workshops with an instructor, lead karaoke and cultural games, and showcase your skills during the festival. - Festival Finale - Stalls and Workshops - prepare and run festival stalls with games, workshops, and Irish-themed activities - Knowledge Poster - after the event, create a poster summarizing all the knowledge and experiences gained during the project, to be used in future editions - Take photos and make a short promo video Gain hands-on experience, develop creativity, and work in a team while bringing Irish culture!

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers live in 3–4 person flats with private rooms and shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space. Flats are near the city center or well connected. We cover: ✔️ €6/day pocket money ✔️ €3.28/day food allowance ✔️ Full accommodation ✔️ Free public transport ✔️ Travel costs (ESC distance band) ✔️ Henner insurance

Training during the activity

Volunteers will work closely with an experienced coordinator, learning on the go: - Running workshops, games, and activities for children aged 9-14 - Creating educational materials (comic, poster) - Organizing stalls and coordinating tasks - Leading the city game, cultural events, and dance & karaoke evening - Documenting the event (photos, short video) A practical opportunity to gain hands-on skills while benefiting from the coordinator’s experience.

Participant profile

- No specific prior knowledge, skills, or experience is required as the necessary ones can be acquired during the project. - Able to work in a multicultural environment. - Flexible and creative, like very creative! - Open-minded with a positive attitude. - Motivated to promote solidarity. - Communicative and sociable. P.s. Participants are accepted regardless of gender, beliefs, preferences, and level of education. However, the volunteer must be able to stay the full duration of the project!
