Are you ready to volunteer in a small village in Greece and make some huge impact? Are you searching to be useful in a remote local community, that needs an artistIC upgrade, multicultural moments and is looking forward to open its heart to volunteers? Then this is your project!! Project focus and activities: Artistic Goals. Upgrade public spaces with colorful, meaningful murals. You’ll paint the local bus stop, a courtyard wall, and a large door at the village entrance. Community Activities.Design and run fun activities for the children of Chidira. Your presence will bring joy and learning through creative play! Nature Enhancement.Help highlight a walking path to a hidden village waterfall (if time allows). Where? Chidira, a quiet village in northwest Lesvos (Lesvos is a Greek island located in the northeastern Aegean Sea.) 65 km from Mytilene (main city), surrounded by several other small villages. Approx. 300–400 residents, mainly livestock farmers producing local cheeses like feta and kasseri WHERE YOU’LL STAY: Large shared room (all genders) in the Community Cultural Centre) Cots provided by the National Guard Makeshift screens for privacy while changing / sleeping Facilities: 1 toilet + 1 shower per biological sex MEALS: 3 meals per day Meals will be prepared by organizers

WE’RE SEARCHING FOR MOTIVATED, OPEN-HEARTED INDIVIDUALS READY TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN A UNIQUE RURAL VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE. BE TEAM-MINDED & ADAPTABLE Willing to live closely with others (all genders) in a shared sleeping space for 16 days, with limited privacy and basic facilities (1 shower & toilet per biological sex). HAVE BASIC ARTISTIC SKILLS Able to contribute to mural painting and other creative upgrades of public spaces. EMBRACE RURAL SIMPLICITY Comfortable living in a quiet village of 300–400 residents, with minimal leisure options (only one traditional café) and a traditional, conservative atmosphere. UNDERSTAND THE SETTING Although the project takes place on an island, the village is inland and far from the beach — beach visits will be limited and organized once during the project.
