Description
This short-term project (58 days of activity + 2 travel days) offers young people the opportunity to support the social inclusion of persons with disabilities through a set of community-based activities developed in collaboration with the VALE Association. Taking place in the municipalities of Dúrcal and El Padul (Granada, Spain), the volunteering experience will involve 10 participants over a two-month period during the summer of 2025. Volunteers will contribute to a variety of inclusive initiatives, including assistance in day centres, support in residential homes and supported living apartments, participation in leisure and summer holiday activities, and engagement in awareness-raising workshops. The project fosters teamwork, empathy and personal development, while promoting the values of solidarity and inclusion within the local community.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Each volunteer will receive a maintenance allowance of 200 euros per month and 6 euros per day as pocket money. Travel expenses will be covered according to the distance band established in the European Solidarity Corps Programme Guide, based on the kilometers between the volunteer’s place of residence and Padul. Volunteers are required to cover the travel cost in advance, which will then be reimbursed within 2 to 4 months after the successful completion of the project, provided that all necessary supporting documents are submitted. Accommodation will be provided in shared rooms (same gender).
Profil du participant
The 10 volunteers taking part in this short-term project should be open-minded individuals who are genuinely motivated to contribute to the community. No specific background or prior experience is required—what matters most is a strong willingness to engage in teamwork and support social inclusion through youth and community-focused activities. Volunteers should be prepared to live and collaborate in a multicultural setting, sharing accommodation and responsibilities with peers from diverse backgrounds while embracing values of empathy, cooperation and respect.
