Description
Our volunteering project will involve 3 volunteers coming from different countries, who will be inserted for 9 months, from September 2025, in the context of Amycos' work in Burgos. Actually, the project aims to involve the volunteer in a local network promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. The main activity will be work in an urban organic garden and boosting ethical purchasing groups in Burgos, contributing to awareness-raising of concepts such as responsible consumption and production. The work will be strictly physical in the agricultural area and depending on the characteristics of the volunteer there will be space to promote a “green” network in Burgos collaborating with other organization in educational and communication activities. Also, in according to his/her profile the volunteer will be involved in: - Educational activities with children; - Administrative and Organizational tasks; - Social Inclusion of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteers will be hosted at an apartment chosen by Amycos and in accordance to the basic qualitative standards. Specifically, accommodation will be in the city of Burgos (in a single room). Sharing of common spaces will be encouraged with other volunteers; although the privacy of the volunteers will be respected. Accommodation will be in charge to Amycos and the volunteer to receive monthly 180 € for food plus a pocket money of 180 €. Burgos is a small city and it’s not necessary to use a local transport daily.
Formation pendant l’activité
Once they arrive, the volunteers will be assisted by the project coordinator and will be assigned a tutor for each activity. The coordinator will show the volunteers how the association works and what kind of activities they will develop during their stay in Burgos. He will help them to enrol in Spanish classes for immigrants planned in collaboration with the Atalaya intercultural organization. These volunteers will also have a mentor who will help them to know the city and its possibilities and will help them with more strictly personal matters.
Profil du participant
Interest in the project: The volunteers have to participate fully in the project having the desire to contribute actively and agree on the Amycos goals connected with the social change to a sustainable development; Experiences and competences: considering the tasks that will be assigned, the volunteer has to be perfectly able and happy to do a physical and hard work in the organic garden; Personality: Generally, we need positive, flexible and willing people able to work in-group and in a multicultural context. Spanish language skills will be appreciated but they are not essential condition.
