Description

The hosting organisations name BETA is an abbreviation in German for occupational integration, training and education (Berufliche Eingliederung durch Training und Anleitung) and it is a part of the association Volkshilfe Tirol www.volkshilfe.tirol Address: Brixentaler Straße 14, 6300 Wörgl, Tyrol, Austria PROJECT DESCRIPTION BETA helps young people aged 15 to 25 to gain employment. Many of the young people who come to BETA have learning difficulties and struggle to find work. BETA employs around 11 young people for a one-year period, during which they can learn and acquire job qualifications to prepare them for future employment. The program teaches soft and hard skills through five focus areas: Green Care, IT & Communication, Office & Administration, Wood & Creative Workshop, and Knowledge Workshop. Additionally, the program provides job application training for the participants

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

ACCOMODATION: You will stay in a private, fully furnished studio apartment in the host organisation's building in the city centre. FOOD: You are responsible for grocery shopping and cooking for yourself. You will receive a monthly food allowance (€ 250) in addition to your pocket money. POCKET MONEY: 210 Euro per month.

Participant profile

We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including those with limited formal education or who are currently unemployed. Here’s what makes a great match for our team: Open-minded, friendly, and enjoys communicating with young people Able to speak and understand basic German, as the young people do not speak much English Interested in social work, particularly with young individuals Willing to contribute their own ideas, experiences, and interests to the project Comfortable living independently in a small town Selected applicants will receive additional information regarding possible next steps.
