Piece of My Heart Vol.7

Együttható Közösségépítő Egyesület

Budapest, Hongrie

Description

The Együttható Association offers a long-term ESC volunteer program in Budapest (2025–2026), focusing on inclusive community development. Volunteers support young people with disabilities through personal assistance, organizing events, and community outreach. The project promotes equal opportunities, cultural exchange, and personal growth, while equipping participants with practical, language, and social skills in a diverse, supportive environment. Here you can read the project's infopack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L9HbBjXbvoe6Df_igNORIlLF3tj9GrHp/view?usp=sharing You can only apply if you read the infopack. :-)

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Volunteers are accommodated in a shared apartment near the community center in Budapest. Each person has a private sleeping space, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. A monthly Budapest public transport pass is provided—initially purchased by the volunteer and reimbursed later with the food and pocket money allowance. Travel costs to Hungary are reimbursed based on Erasmus+ distance rules. Visa costs up to €100 may also be covered. There is more about this in the infopack. To participate in the project, you need a sending organization from your home country.

Formation pendant l’activité

Volunteers receive a one-week onboarding training, monthly group mentoring, and biweekly individual mentoring. Hungarian language support is provided through online and in-person classes. Additional Erasmus+ trainings offer skill-building and networking with other volunteers. The program helps develop cultural awareness, project management, teamwork, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of social inclusion. The sending organization supports you with the visa application and provides remote mentoring during the project.

Profil du participant

No additional health insurance is needed, as coverage is provided by the EU program. It takes around two weeks to activate the insurance, so we cannot accept applications after the deadline. 2026. july 16. We only accept applications from candidates who are available for the entire one-year duration of the project. We only accept applications from the designated country in this advertisement; we will not respond to those who are not from these countries and do not use English in their application form. We are looking for open-minded, motivated volunteers who are kind, supportive towards people with disabilities, and eager to learn. Flexibility, creativity, and basic English skills are important. Experience in community work or youth programs is a plus, but not required. A degree in social sciences is a strong advantage: e.g., social work, youth work, sociology, psychology, educational science, teaching, special education. The ideal volunteer is a young person with fewer opportunities, such as women aged 18 to 30, women from third countries, women living with disabilities, women from the LGBTQ community, and women from any kind of minority.
