 APPLY HERE BY FILLING THE APPLICATION FORM: https://forms.gle/7cSRT3QsNwi7k1pg7  YOU WILL FIND MORE INFO ON THE MISSION HERE : https://urlr.me/zu8HVA  The volunteer’s mission will take place in the “Saint-Jeoire municipality Child, Youth, Animation Department"  Co-organize fun and discovery activities with children: arts and crafts, sports, self-expression, etc.  Co-organize meetings with other after-school programs  Participate in outings and cultural visits  Co-create awareness-raising activities for Taste Week, for anti-discrimination and anti-racism education weeks, for environment week and to fight against bullying in and out of school  Help set up initiatives between the youth council and the senior citizens' council: leisure activities, cultural outings, joint projects, etc. Help set up events such as the Christmas party, Carnival, open-air cinema, pink October,... etc.  FOR MORE INFO SEE LINK ABOVE

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

 Volunteers receive free accommodation. The volunteer shares a room with another volunteer. The room has a separate bathroom. The room is based in an Asylum Seekers Center called “Le Nid ”, in Saint-Jeoire.  Volunteers will be fed at Le Nid every day. Volunteers receive the monthly equivalent of €8 pocket money per day (€224 to €248/month depending on the number of days in the month) + €116/month food allowance to feed themselves during their vacations.  Volunteers are provided with a bicycle and the possibility of using the Department’s car, subject to availability.

Training during the activity

 Volunteers will take part in two seminars bringing together volunteers from all over France.  The volunteer will be able to take French courses at "Le Nid".  Volunteers will have the opportunity to take the Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur (BAFA). This diploma enables volunteers to supervise children and teenagers in a non-professional capacity.  Volunteers can take a first-aid course.  Other training courses on various themes depending on the offer at the time (e.g.: two-day training course in Paris on international solidarity, online trainings on public speaking,...)
