Description
Are you ready to make a difference this summer? Become part of a vibrant team of volunteers at the Salesian Youth Center Rakovnik and help create unforgettable experiences for local children and youth. As a volunteer, you’ll play an active role in our Summer Oratorij, supporting kids through play, creativity, and connection. You’ll spend your days engaging with children and teens on the playground and in the club rooms, helping lead fun activities like board games, sports, and creative workshops, and assisting in the daily camp routines to help ensure a safe and joyful atmosphere. Along the way, you’ll collaborate closely with our amazing team of local volunteers who plan and coordinate the summer program. You’ll also have the chance to design and carry out your own personal project—whether it’s a workshop, event, or special activity—giving you space to develop your skills, share your passion, and leave your own unique mark on the summer.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Your home during the project will be in the same building as the Salesian Youth Center or an appartment close by. When it comes to meals lunch is provided through the youth centere and for brekfast and dinner you'll receive a monthly food allowance (cca. 15€ per day). There are grocery stores, bakeries and restuarants close by. The youth centre is located near the centre of Ljubljana, so you can use our bike or a bus to get there in short 10 minutes.
Formation pendant l’activité
National agency organize on-arrival training and mid-term training. A volunteer can also attend the trainings we have for our volunteers and animators.
Profil du participant
We’re looking for enthusiastic young volunteers, aged between 18 and 30, who are eager to grow through meaningful experiences and make a positive impact. Our center is all about working with children and young people, so you should enjoy spending time with them and supporting their development through creativity, play, and connection. We value volunteers who are communicative, open-minded, responsible, and proactive—people who enjoy working in a team and bringing positive energy to group settings. While previous volunteering experience is a bonus, what matters most is your motivation and willingness to get involved. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
