Description
We're looking for 2 volunteers in Tblisi (Georgia), who want to join a team of youth workers, volunteers and activists to make Georgia a better place for youth. There are many local and international activities our organisation does, and not only in Tbilisi. For most of them, the help and assistance of ESC volunteers is very crucial. Activities that will be implemented in the venue by the volunteers: -promotion of ESC programme for young people in the regions-Bus -international Erasmus+ youth mobilities - training courses/youth exchanges -local one/two-day events: international football matches, Europa Fair event, Street Music Day. -to empower local projects and DRONIs local volunteers -to take part in SALTO info sessions and make presentations about Erasmus+ program -to organize outdoor activities, workshops and other nonformal activities for young people -to raise awareness and promote Human Rights education among Georgian youth
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteers will be housed in a spacious apartment that has 4 bedrooms, small living room area, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. The apartment is fully equipped with washing machine, oven, fridge and freezer, iron, wi-fi. There are comfortable beds, bedsheets. One is located 7 min. from the subway station Delisi and other 10 minute walk from Metro station Rustaveli. Pocket money and food are foreseen and paid at the beginning of every month. The mobility will last for 12 months and start as soon as possible. Free days to be agreed with the organisation.
Training during the activity
Once arrived volunteers will be trained by the local staff for all they need to know to do the volunteering experience in the association and to support the association daily work. An ESC volunteer is also required to participate in On Arrival Training and Midterm Evaluation provided by the National Agency. Volunteers will receive language training (formal or non-formal) throughout their stay, arranged by the host organisation. Duration of one lesson is from 1h-1,5h. The lessons are held 2-3 times a week
Participant profile
We are looking for motivated young people ready to jump into the field and support our activities in order to empower the lives of youth in Georgia. The volunteer must be from one of the eligible countries and willing to learn and develop skills in the field of the proposed activities. The project will start as soon as possible.
