Description
TECHO Peru has diversified its projects based on the needs of the communities, responding by assembling emergency housing modules, modular community centres, installing signage, among other projects that improve the habitat and habitability of beneficiary families. To date, TECHO is present in 34 informal settlements in Lima. The volunteer will support in leading and executing the youth volunteer management process at TECHO Peru, ensuring the development, training, and active participation of volunteers in the organisation's activities, promoting social commitment, community leadership, and the transformation of realities in low-income neighbourhoods; provide support in the design and implementation of strategies for recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining young volunteers; participate in the planning of team days and recreational-educational activities to strengthen team spirit; monitor volunteer participation in community projects and institutional events.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will have established work spaces, so that s/he can develop the tasks assigned to her/him and will be provided with the necessary inputs for the provision of assistance; Accompaniment by TECHO Peru's board of directors and by the assigned mentor; Participation in training spaces organized by TECHO Peru for the permanent team. The volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 650EUR and accommodation, as well as a return flight ticket to and from the country of origin. A health insurance scheme will be provided and all costs related to the briefing/debriefing covered.

Profil du participant
● Education: Professional graduates or final-year students in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Administration or related fields. ● Languages: Spanish desirable. ● Programmes (desirable): ○ Proficiency in programmes such as Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Forms, Calendar). ○ Familiarity with design and communication tools such as Canva or Trello. ○ Experience in the use of volunteer management platforms or databases (desirable). ● Competencies: ○ Knowledge of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. ○ Experience in volunteer management, youth or community projects, planning and execution of training and recreational activities. ● Soft Skills: ○ Commitment ○ Empathy ○ Proactivity ○ Conflict management ○ Leadership ○ Ability to manage teams and volunteers ○ Effective communication ○ Ability to work in a team TECHO Peru has an equal opportunities policy and accepts applications without distinction based on gender, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic characteristics, language, religion or belief, political or other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
