Description
Our project "GREEN LANGUAGES Vol. 4" which will take place in our sunny town of Amantea (Calabria) coordinated by The Convent Centre of Language & Art. We want to encourage intercultural dialogue and mobility projects for young people by strengthening Multilingualism, Digital Literacy, Active Citizenship and Social Inclusion. Volunteers will carry out specific activities always related to Multilingualism, such as the organization of Linguistic Tandem to encourage the participation of young people in language practice, creation of workshops for kids using non-formal methodologies, tutoring our students and assisting teachers in their language classes. Volunteers will also share and promote EU values and opportunities through the organization of specific events and the management of our social media channels.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Food allowance is provided Pocket Money is provided. Reimbursement for travel tickets provided No transport arrangements are needed, everything is at walking distance
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive training in intercultural learning, non-formal education methods, digital tools and project management. They will attend Italian language lessons to support their integration and communication in the local community. Training will also include guidance on organizing linguistic tandems, tutoring techniques, event management and social media communication, ensuring volunteers gain both practical skills and cultural awareness.
Participant profile
We are looking for motivated young people (18–30 years old) who are open-minded, flexible and eager to learn in an intercultural environment. An interest in languages, digital tools, education and social inclusion is highly appreciated. Previous experience in teaching, tutoring or youth work is not required, but a positive attitude and willingness to engage with children, teenagers and the local community are essential. Volunteers should be ready to participate in Italian language lessons, adapt to new contexts, and actively contribute to teamwork, creativity, and the promotion of EU values.
