IMPORTANT: to apply to this project you MUST use the form available at www.informa-giovani.net/esc-caritas Caritas Diocesana di Patti is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote volunteering and support people with fewer opportunities. Volunteers will be involved for 16 days in managing and running a summer camp for children (some of whom have fewer opportunities), as well as supporting food distribution. They will contribute to providing direct support for the activities, while creating an inclusive environment and promoting a culture of active participation and solidarity.
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
The accommodation is located in the centre of Sant'Agata di Militello. Volunteers will sleep in double rooms, which are separated by gender. Toilets and showers are also separated by gender. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Volunteers will share the communal areas of the house with small groups of international volunteers who assist Caritas with its activities. Individual support: Euro 6,00 per day. Food allowance: Euro 5,00 per day. Travel costs: Based on the ESC guide according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator.
Formación durante la actividad
On arrival training and Mid-Term Evaluation organised by the host organisation + Online Linguistic Support (Italian language).
Perfil del participante
Please note that this short-term activity is also open to young people with FEWER OPPORTUNITIES (economic, social, or geographical obstacles, health problems, etc). Volunteers must be aged 18–30 and have an attitude for working with children and young people, as well as a strong interest in socio-cultural activities for children and young people and in promoting social inclusion. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are also required. Previous volunteering experience and a driving licence are welcome.
