Description

Support in transforming research findings on New Youth into applicable strategies for attracting, retaining and engaging young people. Will lead the dissemination, validation and adaptation of these strategies at TECHO's three offices in Guatemala (14 communities around the country), strengthen permanent teams (especially community teams) and foster relationships with universities to expand the volunteer base. Strategic Goals: ● Assist in planning and development of the National Volunteer Meeting (ENVO). ● Systematise ENVO contributions to refine and prioritise strategies. ● Redesign a plan of innovative strategies based on the findings of the 2025 research. ● Incorporate specific actions to strengthen community teams and relationships with universities. ● Contribute to the creation and design a plan to strengthen volunteering with a 2025–2026 projection.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Working conditions: Hybrid work (3 days in office - 2 days teleworking) / Flexible working hours / Regular visits to the communities / Institutional mail tool and library drive. Living conditions: The volunteer will receive a monthly per diem of 791 € to cover their food and other expenses. The accommodation, visa fees, return flights, vaccination costs, the health insurance, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and the expenses related to transportation will be covered by the programme; -2 days of leave per month.

Training during the activity

● Be part of a multidisciplinary team where you will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context; ● Learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective. ● Manage and evaluate projects with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. ● Foster your leadership and teamwork. ● Strengthen your network of contacts.

Participant profile

● Professional, graduate or student in Sociology, Anthropology, Social Psychology, Social Work, Political Science, or related fields. ● Knowledge of social research, data analysis, or project development, especially in projects related to youth, community development, or volunteering. ● Experience or knowledge in project planning, execution, and monitoring. ● Ability to lead teams and facilitate collaboration between members of different disciplines. ● Spanish as a mother tongue or advanced level. ● Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly. ● Effective social skills, facilitating positive and effective collaboration in teamwork. ● Availability to travel occasionally within Guatemala for data collection or implementation of field activities. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
