Alianza por la Solidaridad, ActionAid member, aims to achieve an active citizenship that fights against inequalities and for the recognition of human rights. It carries out development cooperation and education projects to eradicate gender-based violence, enhance migrants' rights and for climate justice. Join us at our office in Mauritania! You will have the opportunity to support a dedicated team of professionals in their daily work. Your role will focus on assisting with project formulation, contributing to the preparation of reports, and helping to organ iseinformation used to justify actions. You will also collaborate in field activities, such as collecting data and accompanying the implementation of project actions. You will be able to take part in initiatives related to women’s rights by supporting the organisation and planning of strategies adapted to rural women, contributing ideas with a gender perspective, and assisting in the review or development of training and awareness-r
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
The volunteer will share accommodation with other volunteers in a multicultural environment with access to her/ his own individual bedroom. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the organization. To cover all day-to-day costs such as food the volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 569,27€. For your participation in the activities of Alianza, a vehicle will be provided. Furthermore, you will have a health insurance that will cover all your health expenses during your stay. We have built the most favourable environment to provide you with a unique stay.
Formación durante la actividad
As a volunteer in Alianza you will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to our ONG as well as an induction to the European Solidarity Corps programme. In addition, you will be trained more specifically in feminist leadership and our own working policies. In the end of your volunteering, you will know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, both on the field and in the office, as well as you will have had acquired specific training related to the projects we implement strengthening your professional profile in areas such as agro-ecology, social action or women's rights.
Perfil del participante
We are looking for a volunteer eager to learn, collaborate within a team, and adapt to new contexts. An interest or background in gender issues is appreciated, as well as motivation to work closely with the beneficiary population and to contribute ideas and knowledge to the implementation of projects. Previous experience with the project cycle is a plus, but not a requirement. This is a great opportunity to gain experience! French is essential, and Spanish is considered an asset.
