Volunteer Messenger - Marche en Famenne

ASSOCIATION DES COMPAGNONS BATISSEURS

MARCHE-EN-FAMENNE, Belgium

Description

Each year, CBB welcomes two ESC volunteers in the "international team" one in Marche, one in Liège. The volunteers will be mainly involved in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of our volunteering projects (workcamps, youth exchanges, environmental weeks or days….). You will also sometimes work in partnership with other local youth and social organizations. As part of CBB team, we will expect you to attend collective activities such as staff meetings, General Assemblies, team building days…As a volunteer working in the support organization for more than 25 volunteers in the South of Belgium, you will also be in charge of creating a bond between volunteers. Finally, we really hope that the volunteer will bring us innovation and creativity. TO APPLY, fill in the registration form in the "register" tab: https://compagnonsbatisseurs.world/activities/long-term/esc-volunteering/volontaires-messagers/

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accomodation: The volunteers will have a private room in a fully-equipped shared house in the city of Marche-en-Famenne, with other ESC volunteers. The house is located in the city centre (on a short foot-distance from the workplace) and has all the modern facilities. Food: the volunteer will receive a monthly allowance and will take care of the meals by themself. Participation in the European Solidarity Corps is free of charge for the participant, except for exceptional contribution to travel costs. Freeboard and lodging + pocket money.

Training during the activity

With the French-speaking National Agency of Belgium: on-arrival and mid-term seminars. With the support organization in Belgium (Association des Compagnons Bâtisseurs asbl, "CBB"): residential weekends and networking activities with other ESC volunteers on other projects supported by CBB in the French-speaking part of Belgium. The volunteers will also take part in the training of international leaders organized twice a year by CBB. The volunteers should be ready to take an active part in the collective networking activities and can count on many local resources to create personal projects.

Participant profile

We expect the volunteer to be interested in international volunteering projects; to build an atmosphere of confidence; be proactive and creative; be open to involve themselves in the activities we do; be able to work in a team; agree with our philosophy of equality and openness to the differences as well as being ready for office work as well as leading some non-formal education activities or even carry out some manual work.
