Re-Green: A Collective Awakening

CAISA - Cooperativa de Artes, Intervenção Social e Animação C.R.L

Vermil, Guimarães, Portugal

Descripción

This European Solidarity Corps team volunteering project invites young people from across Europe to come together in Vermil village, Guimarães, Portugal, for a transformative experience that blends ecology, creativity and community action. During two weeks in the end of March and beginning of April 2026, volunteers will join forces with local residents and the CAISA team to revive green spaces, promote environmental awareness, and use art as a tool for regeneration. Through collective work, shared learning and intercultural exchange, participants will rediscover the power of collaboration — and awaken a shared sense of responsibility for our planet.

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

Volunteers will be hosted in a shared accommodation provided by CAISA, located in a peaceful area close to our activity spaces. Participants will share rooms divided by gender, with access to a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom, and a large outdoor area — including a sports field right next door. All basic facilities are included: Wi-Fi, heating, water, electricity, bed linen, and towels. Volunteers will receive a pocket money allowance of 6€ per day. Meals are provided, and cooking is done in teams, following a rotation system. We prepare three meals per day and eat together.

Formación durante la actividad

During the Re-Green project, volunteers will receive ongoing training and support to help them fully engage in the activities and develop new skills. The training will include: Introduction and Orientation; Environmental Awareness; Teamwork and Project Skills; Practical Skills for Activities; Reflection and Intercultural Learning. All training is practical, interactive, and tailored to help volunteers gain personal, professional, and intercultural competences while contributing meaningfully to the project and the local community.
