Description
The project focuses on promoting civic engagement, volunteering, intercultural understanding, and environmental protection among young people. Volunteers will be involved in language clubs, awareness-raising campaigns, waste management activities, and non-formal learning programs for local youth. The project also supports a healthy lifestyle and the social inclusion of vulnerable groups. Participants will develop digital, language, intercultural, and environmental competences, gain independence, and grow through international experience. Taking place in Georgia, the project fosters active citizenship, equal opportunities, minority rights protection, and environmental sustainability.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will receive a 300 € monthly allowance for meals and personal needs. They will live in a shared flat for 4–5 people, possibly sharing double rooms. The apartment will be equipped with essential furniture, a private bathroom, and a kitchen for cooking. Local transportation in Gori is fully accessible, and Tbilisi is only about an hour away, offering easy travel and exploration opportunities.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive continuous support and training during the project. They will participate in On-Arrival and Mid-Term trainings organized by the National Agency.(In case of long term volunteering) In addition, the hosting organization will provide orientation, task-related training, and regular mentorship. Volunteers will also develop skills through practical activities and workshops.
Participant profile
We are looking for volunteers aged 18–30 with a good command of English (able to communicate freely, as it is the working language). Candidates should be ready to stay in Gori, Georgia, for at least 1 month. Volunteering will take place between November 2025 and February 2026, with a duration of 30–60 days. Volunteers able to stay longer will be prioritized. Participants should be motivated to work with local youth at the Gori Youth Centre, eager to live and work in an intercultural environment, and willing to share accommodation with others. Flexibility and adaptability are highly valued.
