The volunteers at the Youth Center will support activities focused on developing youth initiatives, social inclusion, and non-formal education. Volunteers will assist in the daily work of the center – welcoming visitors, maintaining common areas, preparing materials, and managing communication on social media. They will work in an international team, developing teamwork, leadership, and intercultural skills. The project will offer them the opportunity to express their ideas, implement small initiatives, and contribute to creating an inspiring environment where young people feel accepted, active, and engaged in the Rhodope community. Just 15 minutes from Smolyan, there is a ski resort, and the mountain offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and relaxation amidst beautiful nature.

Volunteers will be accommodated in Smolyan, sharing rooms with other participants. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a fixed maximum budget (between 180 and 410 EUR), depending on the means of transport and the distance calculated through the Erasmus+ distance calculator. Participants coming from less than 1000 km away will be encouraged to travel by bus or train.

During the opportunity, volunteers will take part in an introductory training covering the project’s goals, safety, cultural context, and daily tasks. They will join sessions on teamwork, communication, sustainability, and project management.
