GENCSEN KULUBU DERNEGI

ASSOCIACAO INTERCULTURAL PARA TODOS

Barcelos, Portugal

Descripción

During the mobility period, the volunteer will engage in Youth Information Sessions organized annually by the partner organisation. These sessions, held around ten times per year, take place in high schools, universities, senior universities, municipalities, parish structures, and professional institutions. As a speaker, trainer, or part of the organizing team, the volunteer will help inform young people about Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, and other European programs that support youth mobility, learning, and volunteering opportunities. The volunteer will choose one regular activity based on her interests and skills. Options include promoting volunteering through blogs, social networks, press, or conferences; offering foreign language interaction opportunities for the local community; developing skills in project creation, implementation, and follow-up; supporting elderly individuals through cultural and educational activities; or assisting children in kindergarten

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

The volunteer will be provided with safe and comfortable accommodation arranged by the hosting organisation. The living space will be fully equipped with essential furniture, internet access and necessary household facilities to ensure a pleasant stay. The volunteer may share the accommodation with other participants, respecting common living rules and maintaining a friendly environment. Food support will be provided through a monthly food allowance.

Formación durante la actividad

The volunteer will receive on-arrival training covering cultural adaptation, safety rules and an introduction to the organisation. Task-related training will support her role in youth sessions, communication and project activities. She will also have access to language learning, mentoring meetings and non-formal workshops. Mid-term evaluations will help track progress and strengthen personal and professional skills.

Perfil del participante

The volunteer should be motivated, responsible, and eager to work with youth. She should have good communication and teamwork skills, an interest in European programs, volunteering, and intercultural learning. Prior experience in education, project support, or community activities is an advantage. The volunteer must hold a Green Passport or a valid visa, and be adaptable, creative, and willing to engage in diverse tasks and training opportunities.
