The project Sustainable Solidarity: Empowering Youth with Green Skills is designed to empower young people by equipping them with essential skills, competences, and values that strengthen their sense of active citizenship, responsibility, and initiative. Through participation, 4 young volunteers will enhance their media literacy, critical thinking, digital and organizational skills, while also improving their career prospects in the labour market. At its core, the project aims to provide opportunities for international experience, fostering tolerance, solidarity, and intercultural understanding. By engaging in meaningful activities, participants will broaden their horizons and develop a deeper commitment to European values and sustainable living. Objectives -Empower youth with green skills to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability. -Strengthen participants’ citizenship, responsibility, and initiative through active engagement in community projects.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers will be hosted in a fully equipped shared flat in Nicosia, providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment. The apartment will include all basic facilities such as bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, internet access, and common living spaces to encourage intercultural exchange and community spirit. Volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance to cover their meals and groceries. They will have the opportunity to cook together, share cultural dishes, and promote healthy and sustainable eating habits. Each volunteer will be provided with a monthly bus card
Formation pendant l’activité
Throughout the project Sustainable Solidarity: Empowering Youth with Green Skills, the 4 volunteers will receive comprehensive training designed to strengthen both their personal and professional development. The training program combines non-formal education methods, practical workshops, and experiential learning to ensure participants gain valuable competences while actively contributing to the project’s mission. Also volunteers will join the on arrival and mid-training organized by the Cyprus National Agency
Profil du participant
The project seeks motivated and socially engaged young people who are eager to contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive society. Volunteers should embody the values of solidarity, responsibility, and active citizenship, while being open to learning and sharing experiences in an intercultural environment. Desired Characteristics Age & Eligibility: Young people aged 18–30, eligible under the European Solidarity Corps framework. Motivation: Strong interest in sustainability, youth empowerment, and European values. Commitment: Willingness to engage actively in community life and project activities. Adaptability: Open-minded, flexible, and ready to work in diverse cultural settings. Team Spirit: Ability to collaborate with peers, local communities, and partner organizations.
