Description
We are currently looking for 1–2 volunteers for our ongoing ESC project in the town of Holíč (Slovakia). The volunteers would be involved in various cultural and community-oriented activities, such as: supporting local cultural initiatives and associations (e.g., the local youth/leisure center), assisting in the preparation of cultural events organized by the town, helping with the activities of our organization, youth work, supporting our social media and website. We are searching for volunteers as soon as possible, ideally starting no later than 5 January 2026. The activity lasts until 31 May 2026.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Accommodation: Volunteers stay in a new, modern apartment with: • 1–2 people per room • fully equipped kitchen • bathroom + WC • large garden and outdoor seating It’s a comfortable and cozy place perfect for daily living. Location: Most places in Holíč are reachable on foot. If travel is needed, local transport is fully covered. Food: Volunteers receive a food allowance + pocket money. Occasionally, shared meals and food are also provided.
Formation pendant l’activité
During the ESC experience, volunteers will receive: • On-arrival training and mid-term training provided by the National Agency • Local orientation to get familiar with the town, project tasks, and partners • Task-related training (event support, youth work, communication, digital skills) • Regular mentoring sessions and personal development support • Opportunities to join workshops, community events, and cultural activities • Support in developing soft skills, teamwork, creativity, and project management
Profil du participant
We are looking for motivated and proactive volunteers who are interested in cultural activities, youth work, and community engagement. The ideal volunteer should: - be 18–30 years old (ESC requirement), - have an interest in culture, creativity, community activities, and working with young people, - be willing to support local associations and municipal cultural events, - feel comfortable with basic digital tasks (social media, simple website updates, content creation), - be open-minded, responsible, and able to work both independently and in a team, - have at least basic English communication skills, - be ready to take initiative and bring their own ideas to the project. No specific professional background is required — motivation, willingness to learn, and interest in community work are most important. We especially welcome volunteers who: enjoy working with youth or children, like organizing events or participating in cultural activities, are creative (art, photography, video, music, etc.), are flexible and open to new experiences.
