Supporting young people in socio-cultural and educational activities
MJC Croix-Daurade
Toulouse, France
Description
The MJC of Croix-Daurade in Toulouse is a community education organization that promotes access to education and culture for all, to help create a more caring society. In this context, many of its actions are aimed at young people, aged 12-25. The volunteer will therefore be required to carry out several tasks with this target group : >Propose sports, cultural and artistic activities in line with its own interests at the leisure center, in middle and high schools or during actions outside. >Promote mobility and intercultural exchange by sharing its own volunteering experience, culture and way of thinking. >Help organize local cultural events for residents and young people. >Work as part of a team with other members of the youth platform and of the association. >This MJC is one of two MJCs in Toulouse which will each welcome a European volunteer. They will set up regular meetings between volunteers so that they can, ultimately, work on a common project.

The volunteer is hosted in a shared apartment in Toulouse (large town close to Saint Jean) with its own room, the rent is paid monthly by the MJC.
