Long-term project (until the 20th of June 2026) for three volunteers (two of them already working in the project from July 2025) in the municipality of Íllora (Granada province). The volunteers will work mainly in the village primary school in different activities. Support in classes, organization of activities at recess, special events... In addition to the school, the volunteers will be able to collaborate with the library, sports activities, various associations... also depending on the interest of the volunteers. Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
Volunteers will live in a village house equipped with everything they need. Each person will have their own bedroom (in specific moment maybe it is needed to share the bedroom during no more than 4 weeks per year) and will share a bathroom, living room, kitchen... They will receive a monthly amount of money for food and will manage their own food. They will not need transportation to go to carry out their tasks, in the town they can walk everywhere. For the travel volunteers will receive a maximum amount of money in relation to the distance band according to the rules of the ESC.
Formación durante la actividad
Volunteers do not need to have any specific training, although some experience working with children is helpful, as is some knowledge of Spanish. However, during the project, they will be trained in everything they need to carry out their tasks and learn Spanish. They will also form part of the volunteer training cycle, with on-arrival training and an intermediate evaluation by the Spanish National Agency if it applies to them. Also an on-arrival training by Las Niñas del Tul.
Perfil del participante
We are looking for motivated volunteers with initiative, who know how to work both independently and in a team. The work will be mainly with children, so they must want to work with that profile. The project takes place in a small town, where they will live. That is why they must be prepared for it and not expect to live in a city. The project requires flexibility, empathy and adaptability to the circumstances that arise.
