Description
Through his/her daily engagement, the volunteer will be integrated in the "on the move and health orientated" program and will support the staff/pedagogues during their service, playing games, doing sports, preparing various workshops and organizing fun activities for the children. The main goal is to maximize the children´s sport activities in their daily life. In addition, the volunteer will communicate to the children that doing sports and being active is fun, which leads the children to a better health awareness. The volunteer will assist the educators with all kinds of activities and help them in their daily work. Movement and health-related offers are only one part of the activities offered by the Kindergarten. In fact, both the educators and the volunteer offer the children workshops and projects in the fields of music, environment, geography etc.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Accommodation: The volunteer will live in one of our 4 accommodations for the ESC volunteers in Potsdam. Each volunteer has his/her own room. All necessary living arrangements for the whole duration of the project have been done. Food: A monthly food allowance of 333,00 € will be provided via bank transfer. Pocket money: 210,00 € will be provided via bank transfer. Local Transport: A monthly travel card to use public transport within Germany (Deutschlandticket) will be made available to the volunteer. The volunteer will also receive a bike.
Formation pendant l’activité
Our organization offers to the volunteer the possibility to take part in a language course, according to their current level of German. All participants must participate in two mandatory seminars during their project: On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training. These are opportunities to meet volunteers from other countries, gain understanding of the EU values and reflect on the ongoing project. The organisation expects the volunteer to: - be interested in work with children - be interested in sport oriented work in the after school care center - be interested in the planning and implementation of sport orientated events and projects - dedicated commitment and creativity (e.g.: skills in music, sport and games, dance or general be on familiar terms with children) - awareness of being the role model - sociable, friendly, patient and open-minded - be willing to learn new skills - be interested in German culture and language and be willing to learn about other countries.
