Description

S/he will support the development and implementation of TECHO's positioning, supporting the preparation, validation, and dissemination of institutional communication. She will also contribute to prospecting, managing, and strengthening relationships with the media, journalists, influencers, and social networks, as well as: Design campaigns aligned with institutional goals. Support to manage digital channels: social media, website, email marketing. Program positioning and promotion strategies. Creativity in formats: livestreams, podcasts, performances, etc. Coordinate and ensure the execution and dissemination of press releases. Support the creation of the media and social media plan, ensuring that content is aligned with TECHO's positioning objectives and public agenda issues. Accompany and support media coverage of TECHO events and activities. Ensure TECHO's interaction with journalists and influencers.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project is financed by the EU and has the following conditions: -A monthly allowance of 700 EUR is provided to volunteer for covering basic needs. -The accommodation, visa fees, return flights, vaccination costs, the health insurance, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and the expenses related to transportation will be covered by the programme; -For each month of voluntary activity 2 days of holidays are provided.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive briefings by MdM and TECHO at MdM HQ in Madrid, as well as a mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations. They will be part of a multidisciplinary team where they will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context. They will learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective, as well as foster their leadership.

Participant profile

Volunteer experience in civil society organisations. Supervise campaign calendars and coordinate content teams. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva) or other graphic design programmes. Proficient knowledge of Spanish. Previous experience in content writing and press releases is desirable. Create messages that balance emotional impact and strategy. Measure results and adjust strategies based on key metrics. Coordinate efforts with other areas: volunteering, community management, housing and habitat, finance, etc. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
