Foundation Windmill Tree is a grassroots organisation based in Jelenia Góra, working under Erasmus+ Youth accreditation and the European Solidarity Corps. Our long-term ESC volunteers support daily work with children and young people, especially Ukrainian refugee youth and children living in rural collective housing centres. Activities include workshops, outdoor education, mixed-ability mountain trips, art initiatives, and cross-border cooperation with partners from Germany and the Czech Republic. We have two places for our activities - CAO - Centrum of Community activities and Centrum of Integration for foreigners. Both are in the city center. There you can conduct your own language clubs, board games. We combine local community engagement with international cooperation, creating space for solidarity projects, social actions, and youth-led initiatives in the Sudety region. We are looking for the active voluneteers - Spanish speaking, Italian speaking.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers live in a fully equipped flat in Jelenia Góra, located in a calm area close to a river, around 15 minutes on foot from the city centre The flat is shared with another international volunteer (2–3 rooms in total). It includes a kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, stove, and all basic equipment needed for daily life. Volunteers are responsible for keeping the space clean and sharing household duties. Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers take part in the European Solidarity Corps on-arrival and mid-term trainings organised at national level . These meetings support reflection, intercultural learning, and understanding of the ESC framework. Within the organisation, volunteers receive practical introduction to non-formal education methods, youth work principles, and safeguarding standards. Regular team meetings create space for planning, feedback, and evaluation of ongoing activities. They also gain experience in project and event management, communication, and community engagement, get Yputhpass.
Profil du participant
We are looking for a long-term ESC volunteer who is ready to engage actively in daily youth work and community-based activities in Jelenia Góra and the Sudety region The volunteer should feel comfortable working regularly with children and teenagers (6–16 years old), including Ukrainian refugee youth and children living in rural collective housing centres. Confidence in leading short workshops (45–90 minutes), games, creative sessions, or outdoor activities is important. You can send us a link via google docs ) We value interest in non-formal education, inclusion, mental health, nature-based learning, and creative forms such as music, theatre, movement, or visual arts. Openness to mixed-ability mountain trips, summer camps, and community events is expected. The ideal candidate is responsible, emotionally mature, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a small team. Flexibility and readiness for work in rural environments are essential. Experience in youth work, education, social animation, or outdoor leadership is welcome, but motivation and consistency matter most. Welcome!
