WE WILL ONLY READ APPLICATIONS SENT VIA EMAIL. Please send your CV and motivation letter to steven.vanholme@sll.fi. This time, our vacancy is only for candidates from the EU and Ukraine. EKOenergy is a global non-profit ecolabel for sustainable, renewable energy (https://www.ekoenergy.org/). The label is a tool to promote renewable energy worldwide. Our office is hosted by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation in Helsinki. Since 2012, we have hosted 103 long-term European Solidarity Corps volunteers. Volunteers usually stay 12 months. We are now looking for 4 new volunteers. One position opens in June, two in August, and one in November. If you are interested in climate action, marketing, and outreach, please send us your application. The project activities include reading, contacting energy consumers, campaigning, and supporting EKOenergy's general work (including administrative tasks). This requires the ability to concentrate and execute agreed tasks precisely.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Accommodation: volunteers get a private room in a shared apartment. Our eight European Solidarity Corps volunteers live on the same street. This way, they can easily support each other when needed. / Volunteers get the ESC pocket money, as well as a monthly allowance to cover costs for food and local transportation / ESC health insurance /
 Travel: we pay for the travel from your home country to Finland (and return) / Free-time opportunities: A lot of options in Helsinki / We'll send you the Activity Agreement with all details well before the start of the project.

Formation pendant l’activité

Pre-arrival training by the sending organisation 
 / On arrival training organised by Opetushallitus, the Finnish National Agency for Education / Regular information sharing on renewable energy markets
 and campaigning, within the team or provided by other environmental organisations and think tanks / Regular webinars about climate change, EU climate policy and other relevant topics.

Profil du participant

- Interested in environment and climate protection. - Able to concentrate on administrative tasks and eagerness to execute them with precision - Social person, interested in living and working with other young volunteers. - Interested in communication (verbal and visual). Not afraid to contact unknown persons via phone or the Internet - Eagerness to learn new things - Able to work independently and take initiative - Most of the work happens from our office and with the computer. The project involves a lot of reading and writing.
