Description

Young volunteers will play a vital role in the preservation of Torre Sant Antoni, a vibrant international hub that has hosted workshops, exchanges, and long-term residencies since 2021. Participants will engage in essential maintenance tasks such as repainting doors and fences, creating signage, and working on stone structures, all while building meaningful connections with the local community and partner organizations. The centerpiece of this project is the restoration of the estate’s historic dry-stone well, a beautiful and emblematic feature that still supplies water to the house. Volunteers will work together to stabilize its traditional structure, refresh its appearance, and improve access, ensuring this symbolic landmark remains a cornerstone of the Tower’s heritage for future international programs. Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Volunteers will experience a communal lifestyle by sharing the facilities of Torre Sant Antoni with other international long-term residents. The living arrangements consist of two shared rooms equipped with bunk beds, while additional participants will stay in outdoor tents provided with mattresses. Because the house is situated in a beautiful natural environment, volunteers should be prepared for the presence of insects and mosquitoes. All common areas, including kitchens, toilets, and social spaces, are shared with local volunteers, fostering a collaborative and multicultural atmospher.

Formation pendant l’activité

Participants will receive training led by experienced professionals in heritage conservation and traditional building techniques. Throughout the project, volunteers will gain practical skills in the ancient art of dry-stone masonry while restoring the historic well, as well as learning essential maintenance and renovation methods for rural structures. Beyond the technical work, the training focuses on ecological land management and the preservation of natural spaces. This educational experience is designed to be collaborative, allowing volunteers to learn through direct action.
